Volcanoes, cloud forest and a loop I'd still recommend to anyone who asks — smaller than its neighbours but it didn't feel like it at the time. I came in expecting a quick pass-through on the way somewhere else and stayed considerably longer.

It's also where some of the trip's better travel stories came from, mostly involving buses that didn't go where the ticket said they would, and it never once made me want to leave early.
