Peru

Ruins, altitude, and some of the best food of the whole trip — a month that went a lot slower than planned, in the best way. I'd built up expectations for Peru before I even left home, which is usually a mistake, and for once the place lived up to them anyway.

What I remember most isn't the one big trek everyone does, but the smaller towns either side of it, and the number of times a day trip turned into three because I couldn't make myself get on the bus out.
