Mexico

The one that came later, and shorter than I'd have liked — the Pacific coast and a handful of volcanoes squeezed into a few weeks. By this point the year was already winding down, which made me try to slow everything else down to compensate.

It didn't feel like the same trip as the rest of the list, and in a good way — different food, different pace, a last stretch that felt like its own thing rather than an ending.
